Majlis Culture Centre produced, supported and disseminated artistic works in various forms and scales. Some of these were in-house productions and in certain cases guest artists were invited to lead the projects. Majlis had produced several works of eminent artists as well as launched a number of debut productions. Productions in Majlis were not only about the end-work but also about the ways of making – issues of representations and agency, contested iconography, translations between cultures and conventions, inversion of the centre and the margin, overlapping of documentary and fictional etc. were the threads that commonly ran through the myriad productions.
